Savanna Townsend (she/her/hers) is one of Premier Sport Psychology’s Leadership Consultants. She assists with the management of the day-to-day operations of the University of Minnesota Leadership U program within Gopher Athletics. In addition to Leadership U, she supports Premier Sport Psychology’s human resource development.
Education & Experience
Savanna is a native of Sturgeon Bay, WI and graduated from Sturgeon Bay High School in 2013. She continued her education at Iowa State University where she earned degrees in Marketing and International Business, as well as a minor in Spanish. Previous to Premier Sport Psychology, Savanna served as the Marketing & Promotions Director of Destination Sturgeon Bay where she organized and executed city-wide events and festivals, and advertised the city through various media channels. She also served as the Leadership U Intern with Gopher Athletics for one year prior to beginning at PSP. Savanna has a passion for serving others and developing individuals and teams in order to perform at their greatest potential. Currently, she is working on her Master’s of Education in Human Resource Development from the University of Minnesota.
At age five, Savanna started swimming competitively and continued her swimming career through college. In high school she was a multi-event individual state champion, led her team to a WIAA Division 2 state championship title and served as team captain her senior season. During her time at Iowa State, Savanna was part of several school record-breaking relays, was a representative of the “Farm Strong Squad” her senior year, and served as team captain her junior and senior seasons. Since the conclusion of her swimming career, Savanna enjoys running, fishing, tennis, and beach volleyball.
